OUR VISION

STEAD is an educational and career pipeline for the next generation of Colorado leaders across business, civic, science, health, energy, and natural-resource fields, and across rural, urban, and suburban communities. Deeply connected to their communities, STEAD students are stewards of their environment who take on the growing food, health, environmental, and energy challenges facing our state, our nation, and our planet.

What we believe

High school should look different for today’s students. We think Colorado is the right place to build the first fully integrated, next-generation agriculture high school, where young people learn to take on real problems in food, health, energy, and the environment.

Your student can build things that don’t exist yet. The students in our classrooms are the next leaders in agriculture, science, policy, and business.

How we teach

  • 1
We teach through project-based learning. Students learn with hands-on materials, interdependent projects, cooperative work, individual lessons, internships, and community service.
  • 2
We help every student design and lead their own college and career path.
  • 3
We build pathways into Colorado’s business, civic, science, health, energy, and natural-resource industries, connecting rural, urban, and suburban communities.
  • 4
We keep our community curious and relevant, and we care about both academic growth and social-emotional health.
