What is STEAD?

Through our work and study, we take on real challenges in food, health, the environment, and energy that face our state, our nation, and our planet. We’re pioneers building an out-of-the-box high school, and you’d join an educational movement grounded in meaning, purposeful work, connection, and heads, hearts, and hands.

  • We’re a public, independent, five-day-a-week charter school in Reunion, serving a diverse community of students across the urban, suburban, and rural areas of northeast Denver metro, Brighton, Commerce City, and greater Adams County.

  • Our model is problem-driven and project-based, built on the belief that every student can reach proficiency. It’s a blend of science, technology, environment, agriculture, and design, set within a rich, well-rounded life of creative, artistic, musical, literary, physical, and athletic pursuits.

  • We’re a small school with a big vision, small class sizes and big ideas, small on “schooling” and big on learning.
