STEAD offers students the opportunity to challenge themselves academically through Advanced Placement courses.

Our school is one of the few schools in Colorado (and only in 27j) that offers the AP Capstone Program. This program offering is an alternative to our Agriculture pathways, but both can certainly be taken concurrently. Students have the opportunity to graduate with a piece of original, thesis-length research to submit to colleges – a HUGE boost to their application!

Our projected offerings for the 2024/25 school year include:

  • AP Capstone
    • AP Seminar
    • AP Research
  • Social Studies
    • AP Human Geography
    • AP World History (alternating with US History)
    • AP Psychology
    • AP US Government & Politics
  • Computer Science
    • AP Computer Science A
    • AP Computer Science Principles
  • Science
    • AP Biology
    • AP Chemistry
    • AP Environmental Science
    • AP Physics 1
  • World Language
    • AP Spanish Language & Culture
  • Fine Arts
    • AP Drawing
    • AP 2D Studio
    • AP Music Theory

AP classes are hard work, but have been shown to provide many academic benefits to students seeking a challenge. So who should take AP classes? The answer is simple – anyone who is up for it!

**Note: AP Exams do have a cost associated with them, and the exam dates are rigid. For more information on these policies set by the College Board, click here.
