ONE STEP AT A TIME…

  • Oakwood Homes, BuildStrong Education and select industry partners are joining forces to create, and jointly develop, the first-of-its-kind “CULTIVATE”, an agribusiness innovation center at Collaborative Agribusiness Laboratory (CAL). With over 800 ag-related businesses stretching from Fort Collins to Pueblo, there are literally thousands of opportunities for students, teachers and the general public to explore in a unique makers-space environment through a project-based learning format.
  • Allocate some percentage of the approximately 25,0000 SF Collaborative Agribusiness Laboratory for a CULTIVATE Center to maximize the use of the space for both public, as well as for The STEAD School Campus programming.

  • A special project team will be formed by the BuildStrong Education and industry partners to design, develop and implement the CULTIVATE Center makers-space programming that will be for kids and adults.

  • Joint promotion of CAL’s CULTIVATE Center with public and private partnerships to serve the community.

  • Focus on student and teacher engagement, experiential learning and career exploration
