School Tours

Join us for a tour to explore our unique educational setting. Tours available at a variety of times. If you join a Monday morning tour, you will be able to see the school day in action and get the best feel for how STEAD operates. Click the button to sign-up for a tour.

Group Tours

It is always more exciting to do things together with your friends or people you know. If you would like to schedule a group tour, separate from the tour times already offered, please click the button to make a request. A minimum of 3 prospective students must be included to schedule a personal group tour. It is preferred that each prospective student’s parents attend, but is not required. Please provide a minimum of three preferred date options that work for all the students wanting to attend. Evening and Weekend times are options as well.

The STEAD Experience

Calling all students & parents interested in The STEAD School! Join us for this event specifically designed to help both students and parents better understand STEAD’s unique educational environment. Prospective students will participate in an activity to help you get a feel for learning at STEAD. Parents will participate in a STEAD 101 session with a panel made up of STEAD staff, current parent and a current student, allowing you to get all your questions answered.

Click on the date to register for which experience you would like to attend. Tours of the school will be offered after the STEAD experience for those interested in participating.

The Enrollment Process

STEP 1 - Learn About STEAD

The STEAD School has a very unique learning environment and we provide lots of opportunities for you to get to know us and make sure we are a good fit for your student. Come visit STEAD on an engaging school tour, take part in a STEAD Experience event AND/OR watch the STEAD 101 video.

STEP 2 - Submit Intent to Enroll Form

Open Enrollment for the 25-26 school year runs December 1, 2024 – February 18, 2025.

This form demonstrates your desire to enroll your student at STEAD. Please note: documents needed to complete the intent to enroll form are the student’s birth certificate, proof of residency and immunization records.

TRANSFER IN STUDENTS FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR (24-25)
We are currently accepting Intent to Enroll Forms for 2nd Semester of this school year. Second semester begins – Tuesday, January 7.
Enrollment forms will not be accepted after January 10th for the rest of this school year. Once you fill out the intent to enroll form, we will reach out to you within 3 business days to discuss enrollment options.

Transfer In Form ('24-'25)

STEP 3 - Notification of Enrollment

If the number of Intent to Enroll Forms submitted exceeds the number of seats available at The STEAD School for next year, a lottery will take place February 28th and families will be notified of results the following week. In an effort to provide a student population that reflects the diversity of the district, STEAD’s lottery is weighted as described on the Enrollment Policy available on the enrollment page of The STEAD School website (www.thesteadschool.org/enroll).

An offer letter to attend STEAD or waitlist notification will be emailed, by March 7th. Please pay close attention to any offer deadlines and follow instructions closely to secure your student’s seat or place on the waitlist.

STEP 4: Accept Offered Seat

If your student is offered a seat at the STEAD School, it is very important that you follow the instructions to accept or decline the offered seat within the allotted time frame, in order to secure your student’s seat.
