Part-Time, Tuition-Free Learning Designed for Homeschool Students, Grades K-8

Hands-On Courses, Flexible Schedules, and Real-World Experiences at The STEAD School Beginning Aug. 14, 2025
The STEAD School’s Homeschool “Soil To Table” Enrichment Program offers a flexible, part-time opportunity for students to dive deep into gardening, greenhouse science, animal science, and the culinary arts. By engaging in hands-on, career-connected learning—from tending to sustainable crops and studying livestock to creating healthy dishes from scratch—students gain vital skills without giving up the freedom of a homeschool lifestyle.
Our curriculum focuses on Hands-On Courses, Flexible Schedules, and Real-World Experiences. Enrollment includes access to professional-grade labs, creative studios, and immersive learning adventures that bridge the gap between the field and the plate. More robust than a traditional co-op, the program blends structure and expert mentorship within a welcoming, science-forward school community.
Interested families are encouraged to submit the inquiry form below to receive additional information on the program.
Seats are limited for the 2025–26 school year. We encourage families to apply early to secure their spot.
Why Families Are Joining STEAD’s Homeschool Program
More Than a Co-Op
This program goes beyond what traditional homeschool co-ops offer. Students gain access to expert-led instruction, STEM-certified labs, and professional environments like kitchens, greenhouses, and audio studios, all within a tuition-free public school setting.
Hands-On, Career-Connected Learning
From biology and chemistry labs to culinary arts, podcasting, and plant science, students engage in real-world learning that builds skills, curiosity, and confidence. Each course is designed to help students explore their interests and develop future-ready knowledge.
Flexible and Customizable
Students can choose up to two experiences each semester, including lab-based sciences, culinary arts, performing arts, and college-level courses through Front Range or AIMS. Students may also opt for online courses. All participants also join STEAD’s signature Accelerator Week adventures, featuring arts, outdoor expeditions, and career exploration.
Pathways to College and Career
Through college credit, project-based learning, and career exploration, students build a portfolio of work that reflects their passions and prepares them for life after high school. STEAD empowers independent learners to move confidently toward their future.

Located in the Reunion neighborhood of Commerce City, STEAD offers families a flexible, part-time model designed specifically for homeschool students.
