6.14.21 Construction Update: Drive by the STEAD School and you’ll see site infrastructure is now in progress! Concrete curb and gutter are being poured for the parking lot, and on the inside, mechanical units and fire sprinkler pipe installation is underway.
6.4.21 Construction Update: This week on the STEAD School project, construction teams finished up exterior framing and sheathing. Next up, fire protection pipe and roof panel installations.
6.1.21 – Construction Update: The STEAD School is on its way to full enclosure! This past week the Saunders construction team worked to complete exterior framing and sheathing. Next up, roof work continues with installation of trim pieces and vapor barriers.
5.20.21 – Construction Update: Construction of the STEAD School has made great progress over the past month. Some major milestones include the completion of steel erection and prepping for roof installation next week. Over the next few months, the school will really start to take shape.
4.29.21 – STEAD School Beam Signing Ceremony: The STEAD School Board of Directors, Founding Principal Kevin Denton, BuildSrong Education, Cal Fulenwider, and representatives from DLR Group and Saunders Construction hosted a beam signing and barn raising ceremony on April 29, 2021. Founding families, students and faculty joined in the event that placed the last piece of steel for the STEAD School’s first campus building.
4.17.21 – Construction Update: The STEAD School is really taking shape as steel continues to be erected. The grease interceptor was also installed, laying the groundwork for the future kitchen.
4.9.21 – Construction Update: Once again, it’s been a busy — and exciting — week of construction on the STEAD School! The last delivery of steel arrived on site and we’ve gone vertical! The first steel column was erected on Tuesday. This exciting milestone paves the way for actual buildings to take shape across the 10-acre campus.
