Join us for a tour to explore our unique educational setting. Tours available at a variety of times, but we offer tours every Monday at 8:30 A.M.. If you join a Monday morning tour, you will be able to see the school day in action and get the best feel for how STEAD operates. Select a tour option that works best for you!

The STEAD Experience: Open Houses

Calling all students & parents interested in The STEAD School! Join us for this event specifically designed to help both students and parents better understand STEAD’s unique educational environment. Prospective students will participate in an activity to help you get a feel for learning at STEAD. Parents and students will also be given a chance to ask any questions they may have, as well as take a tour of campus.

STEAD will be hosting open houses on:

December 1st, 2025 from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. (Open Enrollment Kickoff Event)

January 31st, 2026 from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M.

February 12th, 2026 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M.

The Enrollment Process

STEP 1 - Learn About STEAD

The STEAD School has a very unique learning environment and we provide lots of opportunities for you to get to know us and make sure we are a good fit for your student. Come visit STEAD on an engaging school tour or at an open house event!

STEP 2 - Submit Intent to Enroll Form

Open Enrollment: Dec. 1st – Feb. 17th

All Intent to Enroll Forms submitted by the close of Open Enrollment on February 17 at 11:59pm will be processed together and given equal consideration. Forms submitted after this deadline will be placed at the bottom of the applicant list and processed in the order they are received.

Fill out the Intent to Enroll Form below for the ’26 – ’27 school year OR for the second semester of the ’25 – ’26 school year.

Transfer to STEAD in ’25 – ’26

STEP 3 - Notification of Enrollment

If the number of Intent to Enroll Forms submitted exceeds the number of seats available at The STEAD School for next year, a lottery will take place. In an effort to provide a student population that reflects the diversity of the district, STEAD’s lottery is weighted as described on the Enrollment Policy available on the enrollment page of The STEAD School website (www.thesteadschool.org/enroll).

An offer letter to attend STEAD or waitlist notification will be emailed. Please pay close attention to any offer deadlines and follow instructions closely to secure your student’s seat or place on the waitlist.

STEP 4: Accept Offered Seat

If your student is offered a seat at the STEAD School, it is very important that you follow the instructions to accept or decline the offered seat within the allotted time frame, in order to secure your student’s seat.
